Frederick Gough School, on Grange Lane South, Scunthorpe, has been awarded a bronze certificate by the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM), after more than 10 per cent of last year’s whole Year 11 cohort achieved an A* to C grade in GCSE music.

Shadow Housing Minister, John Healey, has said it is important that a Labour MP is returned to the House of Commons for Scunthorpe. His comments come as he visited the town to join parliamentary prospective candidate, Nic Dakin, on the campaign trail.
